Provided that sufficient funds are forthcoming practically all German refugee students can be provided for, and an opportunity given many refugee professionals to earn a living, James G. McDonald, League of Nations High Commissioner for German refugees, announced here today at the close of a meeting in the High Commissioner’s office.
The meeting was called for the purpose of considering the position of the German refugee intellectuals. Dr. Chaim Weizmann, head of the Zionist commission for the settlement of German Jewish refugees in Palestine, represented the higher institutions of learning in the Holy Land. Dr. Alfred Kohn of the Rockefeller Institute presided.
