The remains of 2,300 Polish Jews, murdered by the Nazis on Nov. 18, 1942, at Lomza were reburied today at a local Jewish cemetery. The reburial was arranged by the few surviving members of the Lomza Jewish community, who spent the war years in Russia.
The Nazis made the Lomza Jews crawl a distance of almost three miles to the place of execution where they were also compelled to dig their own graves.
