Rabbi Abba Hillel Silver declines to confirm or deny the report of his resignation as Chairman of the Palestine Development League. He admits, however, of differences of opinion between himself and other officials of the League with regard to organization questions and methods, because of his insistance on broadening the scope of the Palestine work fostered by the Brandeis-Mack group.
Rabbi Silver’s dissatisfaction is said to date back to the Pittsburgh conference when he opposed leaving the Zionist Organization, demanding that the former Administration leaders remain in the ranks of the Zionist Organization until they become the majority again. Rabbi Silver states that he is still adhering to his view.
