According to the information, the decision to let the 25 leave was reached by the special police commission set up by the Soviet government in March to speed applications for emigration by Jews. The commission’s office was reported last week to be closing today. There was no immediate identification of the 24 Jews nor any official confirmation by Soviet or Western sources that permission to leave was granted.
