Ricky Shechtel was elected chairman of the Jewish Funders Network’s board of directors. The international organization works to advance the quality and growth of philanthropy rooted in Jewish values. Shechtel currently is executive director of the Sierra Foundation, a private foundation that focuses on Jewish outreach and educational issues in Princeton, N.J., New York and Israel.
