Mrs. Rose L. Halprin will be acting chairman of the Jewish Agency during the absence of the chairman, Dr. Nahum Goldmann, who left for Europe and Israel last week.
Two members of the Jerusalem executive are presently meeting with American executive members in New York. They are Dr. Giora Josephthal, Jewish Agency treasurer who is on a UJA mission in this country and Zalman Shazar who is here to launch several projects of the Department for Education and Culture which he now heads. This department was formerly headed by the late Dr. Hayim Greenberg.
