The pulpits of two outstanding New York Jewish congregations, the Free Synagogue and Temple Rodeph Sholom, will be occupied Sunday morning by speakers taking their sermons from “The House of Rothschild,” the new George Arliss picture playing at the Astor Theatre.
Speaking from the pulit of his father, Rabbi Stephen S. Wise, James Waterman Wise, editor of ???Opinion??? magazine, will talk from Carnegie Hall while Rabbi Newman will deliver his sermon from his pulpit at Temple Rodeph Sholom, 7 West 83rd street. Services at both congregations will begin at 10:45. Mr. Wise???s address will be broadcast over radio station WNEW beginning at 11:45.
