Russia’s acting president issued a statement backing the “legal, national rights of the Palestinian people.” Vladimir Putin made the statement on the eve of multilateral peace talks in Moscow that are slated to bring together Israel and some of its Arab neighbors to discuss such regional issues as economic cooperation, water and refugees.
