Resentment over the surrender of the Renault automotive concern to the Arab boycott of Israel was indicated by members of the automobile industry here today as a reason for a marked decline in the sale of the French automobile in the United States since Renault canceled its dealings with Israel.

The fall in the sale of the popular Renault car here was most marked in view of the continued increase in sales on the American market registered by other foreign cars and the heavy, intensified sales and promotion campaign embarked upon by Regie Renault here.

According to Wards Automotive Reports, generally considered the authoritative indicator of industry developments. Renault sales in the United States have been falling steadily since last September. In that month, Renault sold 9,500 cars in the United States. The total decreased progressively, according to Wards, to 7,003, for the month of December.
