Professor Samoilowitch, the Jewish explorer who was captain of the icebreaker “Krassin,” which rescued General Nobile and part of his ill-fated North Pole expedition on the dirigible “Italia,” is preparing to lead a North Pole expedition next Spring, states a Moscow report.

He is negotiating in Germany on behalf of the Russian Academy of Sciences, of which he is a member, to get a Zeppelin to take part in his expedition. He hopes that his expedition will be the first to succeed in bringing back a full scientific report on the Polar region.
