Samuel Bayer Elected President of Yeshiva College

Samuel Bayer has been elected President of the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary, (the Yeshiva) and Yesiva College, according to an announcement by Rabbi M. S. Margolies, who, because of ill health, has retired from the office of President and has become honorary President of the Institution.

Mr. Bayer is well known in Jewish communal circles. He is President of the Uptown Talmud Torah, a trustee of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies of New York, former President and now trustee of the Machzikei Talmud Torah and of the Harlem Yeshiva. Mr. Bayer has been identified with the Yeshiva and Yeshiva College for many years having been a member of its Board of Directors.
