Private funeral services were held today for Samuel D. Leidesdorf, who died yesterday at the age of 86. He was senior partner of S. D. Leidesdorf & Co., one of the nation’s largest accounting firms, a civic leader and philanthropist. He was a former president of the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York and treasurer of the United Jewish Appeal of Greater New York for 30 years. Mr. Leidesdorf was a director of the Joint Distribution Committee, held a number of Jewish posts.
