Secretary of State Madeleine Albright renewed a U.S. offer to open discussions with Iran. Albright also said the United States would watch very carefully how Tehran responds to the strong showing by reformers in last Friday’s vote in Iran “and the message that it sends from the Iranian people that they want some change.”
