Selective Service System Abolishes References to Race in Official Questionnaires

The National Selective Service System will drop all reference to race in the registrant’s questionnaire after the present stock of questionnaires is exhausted, Rep. Arthur G. Klein was informed today by Selective Service officials. The Congressman had previously objected to the classification of candidates for induction on a racial basis.
