An airborne United Nations peacekeeping force to block further Middle East warfare was proposed here last night by Sen. Thomas B. Kuchel, California Republican. He also reiterated a proposal for a Mideast observation satellite to give the UN advance knowledge of military maneuvers in the region.

Sen. Kuchel, who was guest of honor at an Israel Bonds meeting in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the issuance of the Balfour Declaration, said such a force should be based on such neutral ground as Cyprus, to be available “to put itself between opposing forces without delay.”
