A number of queries on Palestine are included in the list of 110 questions submitted by Senators on the Greek-Turkish aid bill, and made public today by Senator Arthur H. Vandenberg, chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, several days after transmittal to Acting Secretary of State Dean Acheson for reply. The question ran as follows:
“Is it not a fact that Great Britain is maintaining in Palestine a military force which is ten times as great as that in Greece, and which involves expendition running into hundreds of milions of dollars, despite the alleged in ability of Great Britain to take care of the situation in Gressel. Was only attempt made to study if available British military personal concentrated in Palestine could have been utilized in Greecel Should not the Palestine question now he settled with the British in this same connettion?”
