Separate U.S.-Palestinian and Israeli talks scheduled for this week will not focus on core issues separating the two sides, according to the spokesman for the Israeli Embassy in Washington. Instead, the talks will focus on ending the violence, re-establishing channels of communication and rebuilding confidence, Mark Regev told JTA.
