Seven newly-elected New York Congressmen each have “adopted” a Soviet Jewish “prisoner of conscience” and are waging an intensive drive designed to secure their release. The efforts by the lawmakers is part of a major campaign on behalf of the prisoners that is being conducted by the Greater New York Conference on Soviet Jewry.
