Several Israeli protesters detained during recent protests in Prague against the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank were beaten in prison, according to protest organizers. The Israeli Embassy in Prague said up to five Israelis were among more than 850 arrested during the protests, but added that the police had acted “very decently.”
