A Mapai delegation left here this morning for Rangoon, Burma, to attend a conference of Asiatic Socialist parties, which opens January 15. Israel’s Minister, Moshe Sharett, who will head the delegation, will leave during the week-end.

Before the departure of the delegation, one member, Reuben Barakat, said that Israel will raise the question of coordinating the activities of the continent’s Socialist parties, particularly in peace activities. He said that the conference would be asked to work for peace in the Middle East.
