Shimon Peres will consult with a U.S. think tank about transferring property in the Gaza Strip to Palestinians. Israel and the United States have given the Aspen Institute the responsibility to devise a formula for transferring settlements and other Israeli holdings in the Gaza Strip and part of the West Bank to the Palestinians, and another for promoting investment in the Palestinian economy, after Israel’s withdrawal this summer.
