Since the outbreak of violence in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, France and Germany have refused to sell Israel crowd-control equipment, the Israeli daily Ha’aretz reported. The paper said officials from the two countries were concerned that they might be accused of siding with Israel against the Palestinians.
