Julius Singer, composer and violinist, died in the Millard-Fillmore Hospital here after a brief illness. He was born in Latvia and came to Buffalo at the age of 15. He studied violin in the Stern Conservatory of Music, Berlin, and later under Otto Sevcik of Berlin and Gustav Hollender of Belgium.
Singer was formerly connected with the Cincinnati and Buffalo symphony orchestras, and was recently appointed assistant conductor of the local ERB orchestra. He composed “The Cradle Song.”
