Edith Weiss, sister of Jacob Weiss, who was this week condemned to death in Palestine for participating in the Acre jail break, has appealed to Lieut. Gen. Gordon H.A. MacMillan, British military commander in Palestine, to spare the life of her brother.
Miss Weiss, who spent three years in a concentration camp, informed Gen. MacMillan that her parents and entire family were killed by the Nazis, leaving Jacob as her sole relative.
