Sixty-four percent of Americans believe religious symbols like the 10 Commandments should be displayed in public buildings, a new study found. The Anti-Defamation League’s survey of American attitudes toward religion, scheduled for official release next week, also found that 56 percent of Americans think creationism should be taught alongside evolution, and 44 percent believe organized prayer has a place in public schools, while 47 percent favor individual prayer.
