Siding openly with Hitler in his anti-Jewish persecutions and declaring in its leading article that “perhaps the war in Europe will be defined in favor of the enemy in 1942,” Social Justice, mouthpiece of Father Coughlin, today published a three-page attack on the Jews which at the same time urges the American people “to listen to reason and terminate a war which now no one can win completely and which Americans can lose completely.”
Replete with the wildest charges against Jews, the article asserts that the answer to the question as to how long America will remain at war can be given by “the Jews whose sons exercise so much control in the matters of communication, press, cinema, and radio – and the Government.” It terms the American and British governments “Jewish dominated” and continues its allegation that the Jewish boycott against Germany is responsible for the present war.
