Some 1,500 people attended a ceremony Tuesday in a Rio de Janeiro hotel to celebrate Israel’s Independence Day. Supported by the Rio de Janeiro State Jewish Federation, the Yom Ha’atzmaut event took place at the plush Copacabana Palace Hotel.
