Some 4,000 people marched in Jerusalem’s first gay pride parade. Last Friday’s parade began at noon from Zion Square, and black balloons were released representing both Jewish and Arab victims of the intifada. Several fervently Orthodox Jews protested, and three minors were arrested for hanging posters encouraging people to throw eggs at the participants.
