Great strides forward were made in 1948 in solving the problem of group tension in the South, Alexander F. Miller, director of the Southeastern off ice of the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith, reported here. In an annual report, he cited the rejection by Southern voters of all but two anti-Semitic and anti-Catholic candidates who ran for office in the recent elections.
