The authorities here have denied a report published in London that a group of rabbis were arrested in Russia for spreading Zionist and anti-Bolshevist propaganda.
Authoritative quarters said the report was a canard spread every Fall by the “anti-Soviet press,” since it is a time of Jewish high holidays.
