The official Soviet agent here has issued a statement repudiating an alleged statement by the representatives of the White Star Line that they are the only steamship company operating in southwestern Russia empowered to do business in Russia. “The White Star company”, the Soviet representative said, “possesses no privileges from the Soviet government not held by any other company”.
