The conviction that the dispute between the State Department and the Israel Government will soon be resolved and that “full American economic aid will be given to Israel” was expressed in a statement here today by Harold Riegelman, Republican candidate in the New York mayoralty race, following a conference with Secretary of State John Foster Dulles. The conference, which lasted more than an hour, was also attended by Henry A. Byroade, Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, and John Jernegan, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State. Mr. Riegelman’s statement was issued with the approval of the State Department.
