An agreement by Yeshiva University to withdraw letters of non-reappointment to six members of the faculty of Stern College for Women has brought an end to the week-long strike by the school’s 600 students. A university spokesman said that the cancellation of the letters was made in return for a commitment by the Stern College faculty to contribute to the university portions of anticipated salary increases for the 1976-77 school year, if no other means could be found to provide the funds to keep the six members on the Stern College faculty.
