A secret transmitter operated by the Stern Group was seized here last night by police and military forces. A number of people were arrested, including a 19-year-old girl said to be the announcer for the clandestine station.
Using radio detection apparatus, police cordoned off an area in the city and then made house-to-house searches until the transmitter was uncovered on the roof of a house in Hashomer Street.
