The deportation of a number of Polish Jewish coal miners from Belgium is the result of their participation in the coal mine strike now in progress in Belgium, the Socialist paper “Peuple” writes today.

Employers cancel the contracts of those participating in the strike and the state deports them since they are not earning a livelihood, the paper says, emphasizing this is the only reason for the deportations.
