Strong Economy is Israel’s Best Foreign Policy, Says Mrs. Meir

The strengthening of Israel’s economy is the best foreign policy Israel could adopt, Mrs. Golda Meir, Israel’s Foreign Minister, said here prior to her return to Jerusalem. She spoke at a reception given by AMPAL-American. Israel Corporation for a six-member Israel industrial goodwill mission now touring the United States.

The gathering was attended by more than 100 Kenlor representatives of New York’s largest banks and manufacturers doing business with Israel through AMPAL and its affiliates and by officials of the Israel Government Economic Mission to the United States as well as officers and directors of AMPAL.
