The Polish Embassy in Moscow today issued a statement charging the polish Home Guard with conducting terroristic activities against Jews in liberated Poland, The statement estimated that about 150 Jews were killed during the last four weeks by members of the Polish Home Guard which was formed on instructions of the Polish Government-In-Exile in London, and is now waging an underground struggle against the Polish Provisional Government in warsaw.
The statement of the Mosoow embassy was substantiated in a protest made public today by Dr. Emil Sommerstein, chairman of the Central Jewish Committee in Poland, condoming the assassination of innocent Jewish civilians by the anti-Government underground groups, and enumerating the cities and towns where the 150 Jews were assassinated. The towns include lublin, Grodzisk, Zaremby, Jaroslaw, Siedlice, Rembertow, Radzymin, Sniadowo, Parzewe, Ryki, and others.

He said that “evidence has now been produced of criminal anti-Jewish acts committed by Polish radicals” and emphasized that “a comparatively large, although insufficiently large, part of the Polish population was helpful to the Jews resulting in the rescue of thousands of Jewish men and women from Nazi hands.”)
The Lublin radio announced today that twelve streets in the Warsaw ghette have been named after Jews who played a leading part in the revolt against the Germans in April, 1943.
