Residents of forty villages in Lower Austria awoke today to discover that during the night Nazis had smeared windows and walls with swastikas. Police forced high officials of the Nazi organizations to erase the emblems. Five officials and one Government Councillor of the Lower Austrian Federal Government were placed under arrest on charges of belonging to a Nazi Party cell in Vienna.
