Swedish Jews Seek Right for All Rabbis to Perform Marriages

The Central Council of Jewish Communities in Sweden has applied to the government to grant permission for all rabbis of communities affiliated with the Council to perform marriages. At present, only rabbis of Stockholm, Gothenberg and Malmo may solemnize marriages, and Jews from other parts of the country must travel to these three cities to be wed.
