Swiss Jewish leaders criticized their government for issuing an invitation to Austria’s chancellor to visit Switzerland. “We expected that our government would wait at least a few months” to monitor the new Austrian government, which includes Jorg Haider’s far-right Freedom Party, said the secretary-general of the Federation of Jewish Communities in Switzerland, Martin Rosenfeld.
