Many New York and out-of-town delegates are expected to be present at the Tenth Annual Convention of the Young People’s League of the United synagogue of America to be held at the Hotel Pennsylvania during the Lincoln Birthday week-en, Feb. 9 to 12, inclusive.
Rabbi Joseph Zeitlin of Temple Ansche Chesed, at 100th street and West End avenue, will deliver the main address at the divine services, Friday evening, Fed. 9th.
Elias A. Cohen, president of the Temple, heads the committee and is assisted by Phil Holman, Samuel Gould, Harry Samuels, and Miss Irene Wouk.
ART CLASSES BEGIN
Registration for the midwinter season of the hebrew Educational Sooiety art classes is now taking place. Classes in drawing, painting and sculpture will be conducted every wednesday evening at 8 p.m. and Sunday mornings from 11 a. m. to 1 p. m. The Society is located at Hopkinson and Sutter Avenues, Brookyn.
