The Syrian delegation submitted a complaint to the president of the Security Council today that Israeli representatives refused to attend a Mixed Armistice Commission meeting dealing with an alleged attack in the demilitarized zone.
Rafik Asha, the Syrian representative, asserted that on April 26 Israeli armed forces killed two Arab civilians and wounded a third in the Shamalna sector of the demilitarized zone on the Syrian frontier. He said that a meeting of the MAC to consider this was called for April 30. The Syrians arrived, but the Israelis refused to attend, saying they did not wish to discuss matters pertaining to the demilitarized zone, he asserted.
