The Syrian Embassy here was ransacked and furniture in the ambassador’s office destroyed this weekend by unknown persons who apparently entered the building through an adjoining door, it was learned here today. Police said they found no trace by which to identify the invaders. A Syrian Embassy spokesman, however, blamed “Zionist elements” for the aggression.
