Syrian Jew Sentenced to Death in Damascus As ‘spy’ for Israel

Elie Cohen, a wealthy Syrian Jew accused, in a trial that started in Damascus 40 days ago, of being a “spy” for Israel, was convicted and sentenced to death yesterday, according to Damascus dispatches received here today.
