A group of some 100 tailors today staged a protest demonstration in front of the Parliament building here. They protested the government’s clothes rationing program which, they insisted, was ruining them economically.
The demonstrators attempted to enter Parliament, but were halted by police. However, the Deputy Speaker of the House promised to receive a delegation from the group and the remainder dispersed, singing Hatikvah.
