Night life on Saturday for the residents of this all-Jewish city was made possible by the enactment in the Tel Aviv Municipal Council of a new by-law permitting restaurants and cafes to open on Saturdays from nine p.m. until three a.m. Sunday morning. Sabbath laws previously kept these establishments closed all day Saturday.
