Israelis polled by the Institute of Public Opinion of Israel on behalf of Haaretz, Tel Aviv daily newspaper, have endorsed Prime Minister Levi Eshkol, Foreign Minister Abba Eban and Defense Minister Moshe Dayan as incumbents for their present cabinet posts, according to the results of the survey published by Haaretz yesterday.
Among the 1,500 respondents, 47 percent voted for Mr. Eshkol for premier, against 19 percent for Gen. Dayan. Mr. Eban was endorsed by 82 percent, and Gen. Dayan was endorsed as Defense Minister by 81 percent. Former Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion received 19 percent of the votes for the position of Prime Minister.
