The Tel Aviv municipality has decided to name a street here in honor of the late Dr. Oswaldo Arana of Brazil who was president of the United Nations General Assembly on Nov. 29, 1947 when the world body voted to establish a Jewish State in Palestine. Local streets will also be named in honor of the late Moshe Sharett, Israel’s first Foreign Minister and later Prime Minister and the late Rabbi Yehuda Leib Maimon who was the first Minister for Religious Affairs.
