The seventh annual Chanukah dinner of the Metropolitan Conference of Temple Brotherhoods will be held Sunday evening, December 17, at the Hotel Astor. The affair will be part of a nation-wide celebration of the holiday sponsored by the National Federation of Temple Brotherhoods.
The program will include kindling of the lights by Cantor Meltzoff of the Congregation Rodeph Sholom, a musicale and addresses. Among the invited guests are Judge Irving Lehman, president of Temple Emanu El; Supreme Court Justice Meier Steinbrink, former Republican County leader; Mrs. Jean Wise, president of the State Federation of Temple Sisterhoods, and others. Dr. A. L. Sacher, of the University of Illinois, will be the principal speaker.
