The Anti-Defamation League likewise blasted the “B.C.” strip, which depicts the candles of a menorah burning out as the words Jesus is believed to have said before his death are recited. Cartoonist Johnny Hart issued an apology, saying, “This is a holy week for both Christians and Jews, and my intent was to pay tribute to both.”
